Nice! You have to scan that for us someday.. There?s gotta be some kid with the hair and the loud music in your neighborhood who has a computer with a scanner!

Here?s the game I had.. Kicking myself for letting Mom throw it away when I moved out..

Um... I wasn't going to jump into this because, although they didn't use any of the footage, I remember seeing them filming for "Grand Prix" at the '66 USGP at the Glen. So when it came out dad took the family downtown to see it on the wide screen at the old Warner Theater. It was embarrassing going to a move with your folks, but he was paying so what the hell. But Stutt's got nothing on my dad who, during the "romance scenes" loudly grumbled "Let's get back to the racing." Sheesh....

One thing I've also got is a bunch of old photos I took at those races in the 60's and 70's. One is a riot, and if I could figure out how to do it I'd post it. It's from 1966 showing the Ferrari team's arrival at the track from the garage in town where they kept their cars. They'd borrowed a ratty open single-axle trailer with wooden planks for ramps and had to car tied onto it with rope. And towed it wit a Corvair van. F-1 has changed a lot.

And yes, not only did I have the Grand Prix board game, I've STILL got it stashed away somewhere around here. Not only that, but it came with three tracks - Monaco, Le Mans, and one other which I forget. But they also made a set of other tracks and I've got that somewhere here too. The worst part is that set didn't include the Glen, so I actually sat down and made one myself. (Yeah, I'm OLD.) It wasn't easy making that thing either, since they'd only recently invented dirt and I was working with papyrus....

We can't show Grand Prix in the paddock. Stutt always cries during the love scenes..

Screw that. Were playing Grand Prix.

400 HP
1300 lbs
Hard tires that last all season
200 MPH top speeds
No aerodynamics
No cages
No seat belts
Cotton driving suits
Paper-thin helmets

That' when men were Men (or dead). Stunning cars.

After that's over (it'll be short because we FF past all the
soap-opera crap), toss in Le Mans and show them what real Sports Cars
look like.
